Making Connections: Teen Services Providers Network

Ms. Sarah Johnson

There are many area organizations assisting with various transitions for youth and families throughout La Crosse County.  In 2014-15, the Rebuilding for Learning “Transitions” Content Arena plans to focus on transitions that teens face (at home, school and in the community).  This month, we highlight the Teen Service Providers Network (TSPN):

n February 2013 the Y Teen Center established the Teen Service Providers Network (TSPN) in order to connect teen-serving organizations so we can identify what our community has to offer for adolescents, find opportunities for collaboration and establish ongoing communication. Our first meeting included 47 attendees representing 30 agencies. Since that time, TSPN has been meeting quarterly to enact the following mission and vision: Sustain effective communication and collaboration between agencies serving teens in the La Crosse area in order to have a community where all teens are safe, supported and have their needs met. The addition of a Google+ Community will now allow us to facilitate communication among agencies throughout the year.

New members are welcome to join us at any time by attending TSPN quarterly meetings, via the Google+ community, or both! Our next meeting is Thursday, October 23, 2014, 10am-noon at the main Y in La Crosse. Lunch is provided (courtesy of Kaitlyn’s Table).  For more information or to RSVP, please contact Teen Center Director Lisa Luckey at 784-8490 or [email protected].
